This LHD Grantura MK3 is 1 of 90 made (from chassis no 9/601 onwards).
When new it was sold to the USA where it remained in a dry region.
In a later stage this car was bought by a Canadian Triumph workshop owner who professionally part restored it in his own workshop.
He took good care of the car and never used it in the winter.
During the period 1999-2012 the car had very little use and was sitting most of time in dry storage.
In 2012 the present owner purchased the car from Canada and before shipping it to Europe it went through a full mechanical service it on order to be on the button.
After the car had arrived in Europe in late 2012, it went through an 8-month full restoration.
This included body, chassis, paint, electrics, suspension, brakes, fuel system, carburettors and interior.
In 2014 the car was fitted with a high performance fast-road MGB 1.8 engine prepared by MG Motorsport in the UK.
The 3-synchro Over-drive gearbox and also the differential have been fully rebuilt in Germany by specialist Volker Herrmann
The present specifications of the car are as follows:
High Performance MG Motorsport 5-bearing engine - MGB ( 130 BHP) - Maniflow manifolds, 45 DCOE double Webers, special high torque camshaft, SS exhaust with Magnaflow silencers, Lumenition new ignition with new ignition coil.

New H4 lights, original Sparto front and rear and front lights.
New chrome MWS wire wheels 15”x5” with Semperit tyres.
Re-chromed bright parts and original alloy corner bumpers.
New full leather interior (and door panels), leather dash, new headliner, new Wilton carpet, 3-point rally harness, original wood steering wheel.
This car will come with a full restoration file and an EEC road-registration and has a FIVA passport which was issued in 2014.
Out of the total production of 90 TVR Grantura MK3’s there are probably only 35 cars still in existence.
Out of the 90 cars just 60 were made with the MGB 1.8 engine.
So, an original MGB engined car in Left Hand Drive is a rare find.
