Wiesmann war ein kleiner deutscher Automobilhersteller, der Fahrzeuge im klassischem Look, mit großer Handwerkskunst und BMW Motorsport Technologie baute. Das Unternehmen wurde 1988 gegründet und konstruierte exotische Fahrzeuge mit einer besonderen Formensprache, die an Oldtimer angelehnt war. Der MF5, sowohl Roadster als auch GT, war das letzte Modell von Wiesmann. Insgesamt wurden zwischen 2009 und 2014 weniger als 200 MF5 gebaut, was zu äußerst seltenen Begegnungen auf den Straßen führt. Der MF5 profitierte von Technologie, die direkt aus der BMW Motorsportabteilung stammte.

Die ersten Wiesmann MF5 wurden vom S85-Aggregat von BMW angetrieben: einem V10-Saugmotor mit 507 PS. Die späteren Autos erhielten einen BMW V8, da die Produktion des V10 eingestellt wurde. Der Slogan des Unternehmens „Manufaktur der Individualisten“ ist mehr als treffend, da in jedes einzelne Fahrzeug über 350 Stunden händische Arbeit eingeflossen sind.

Unser Wiesmann MF5 GT ist vom S85 V10 Motor mit 507 PS angetrieben. Er wurde 2010 gefertigt und ist laut seinem letzten Besitzer der 52te Wiesmann MF5, der das Werk verlassen hat. Dieses spezielle Fahrzeug profitiert von einigen OEM Veredelungen, wie einem Sportauspuff, modifizierten Aeroelementen einschließlich der Frontlippe und dem verbesserten Spoiler, sowie äußerst leichten Schmiederädern. Mit einer Laufleistung von unter 26.000 km, wurde das Fahrzeug über die Jahre, in der Obhut eines sehr leidenschaftlichen Besitzers, sehr penibel gewartet.

Wiesmann was a small German car manufacturer, building artisanal cars with a classic look and BMW Motorsport technology. The company was founded in 1988 and engineered exquisit cars with a special design language reminiscing of oldtimers. The MF5, both Roadster and GT, was the last of the cars offered by Wiesmann. In total, less than 200 MF5’s were built between 2009 and 2014, making it an extremely rare encounter on the roads.

The MF5 benefited from technology directly sourced from BMW’s Motorsport department and therefore and despite of being a small company, their cars were reliable. The first of the MF5’s were powered by the S85 unit from BMW: a naturally aspirated V10 with no less than 507 PS. The later cars received a BMW V8 as the V10 wasn’t in production anymore. The company’s slogan, “Manufacture of individualists”, is more than justified, as every single example was hand-built, with over 350 hours of work invested in every car.

Our Wiesmann MF5 GT is powered by the S85 V10 engine delivering 507 PS. Produced in 2010, it is, according to its last owner the 52nd MF5 to come out of the factory.
